How to Use the Happy Kamper App as a Parent: Complete Guide

What Is the Happy Kamper App?

Happy Kamper is a childcare management app for parents and providers in Indonesia. Parents use it to book kids' activities, receive daily updates from their childcare provider, track attendance records, communicate directly with teachers, and pay invoices, all from their phone. The app is available for free on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android smartphones and tablets, and supports both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Step 1: Download the App

Open the App Store on iPhone or iPad, or Google Play on Android. Search for "Happy Kamper" and tap Install. The app is free to download. Once installed, tap Open to launch it. On first launch, you will be prompted to select your account type, tap Parent to begin setting up your parent account.

Step 2: Set Up Your Parent Account

Creating a parent account is quick. Enter your name, email address, and phone number. Create a secure password, then verify your phone number with the SMS code that is sent automatically. Once verified, you will be prompted to add your child's profile, enter their name, date of birth, and any relevant medical information or allergies. You can add multiple children to a single account and manage all of their activities, attendance, and communications from one place.

Step 3: How Do You Find and Book Activities?

From the home screen, tap Explore or Browse Activities to search for kids activities near you. You can filter by category (sports, music, art, coding, and more), city, age group, and schedule. Tap any activity to see the provider profile, session schedule, and enrollment details. To book, tap Enroll and follow the payment prompts. You will receive a confirmation notification once the booking is confirmed by the provider.

Step 4: How Do You Track Your Child's Attendance?

Once your child is enrolled with a Happy Kamper provider, you can track daily attendance in the app. When your child is checked in or out by the provider using the QR code system, you receive an automatic push notification with the timestamp. The Attendance section of the app shows a full history of your child's check-ins and check-outs, organized by date and session, useful for reviewing monthly attendance or resolving any billing questions with the provider.

Step 5: How Do You Receive Daily Reports and Photos?

Every day, your childcare provider sends daily reports through the app. These include photos from the session, a summary of learning activities, meal logs, and any notes from the teacher. You receive a push notification each time a new update is posted. Tap the notification to open the report, react with an emoji, or reply with a message to the teacher. Daily reports build a running portfolio of your child's development that you can scroll through at any time.

Step 6: How Do You Communicate with Your Provider?

The Messages section of the app lets you send direct messages to your child's teacher or the center's admin team. You can ask questions about upcoming sessions, request schedule changes, or follow up on anything from the daily report. Messages are organized by center, so if your child attends multiple activities from different providers, each conversation stays separate and organized. Providers can also send group announcements through the app, for example, reminders about upcoming school holidays or schedule changes.

Step 7: How Do You View and Pay Invoices?

Invoices from your childcare provider appear automatically in the Billing section of the app. Each invoice shows the session dates, fees, and payment due date. To pay, tap the invoice and select your preferred payment method. In Indonesia, Happy Kamper supports GoPay, OVO, Dana, QRIS, and bank transfer. Payment is confirmed instantly, and a receipt is stored in the app for your records. If you have questions about a charge, tap Contact Provider from the invoice screen to message the center directly.
